Masks and Visors

Please be aware we have updated our masks and face covering policy,  and do now require  all visitors and patients of the practice to wear one in the common areas of the practice.  Special arrangements can be made for patients who are mask exempt but we would ask you to help us keep the day running smoothly by letting us know of your exemption  in advance. You can read more about our mask policy here

A few tips to minimise your children’s risk of dental issues during lockdown

Much as I hate recording video,  we are keen to use this time when we are not able to provide face to face care for our patients to continue to provide as much support and advice as we can. Here are a few key tips that help to minimise the risk of dental problems for your child.

24th  March 2020

Dear Patients

The health, wellbeing and safety of our patients, their families and our team is our top priority at Craigentinny Dental Care.

To our Patients and Friends of Craigentinny Dental Care

Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the rapidly spreading COVID-19 virus, the practice is temporarily closed for all routine dental care.

If you have  dental problem that you feel requires urgent assistance please contact us by phone in the first instance on 0131 669 2114.

One of our usual team of experienced clinicians will be on hand to offer advice 9:00am and 4:30pm  Mon – Friday.

At week ends emergency arrangements will be on our answering machine

It is essential that we  all do our part to reduce the spread of this virus, so please do not arrive without an appointment as we will not be able to admit you.

We will of course keep you updated with the latest information on our website Craigentinny.co.uk/coronavirus.   As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue our usual high standard of dental care for you when we return.

Stay safe

Craigentinny Team

The practice has returned to normal opening hours and the whole team are back at work,  while we are not yet able to work at the same pace as we did before we are able to offer our full range of services on a private basis most of the time. We do have some limitation on the number of patients in the practice that may on occasions constrain what we are able to do.  While we  are catching up on examinations and hygienist visits for plan members, we are also  treating problems that have occurred during lockdown.

Within the NHS we are able to see you for any urgent dental problem, so do not hesitate to get in touch if you are registered with us and have toothache or other similar dental emergency. The Chief dental officer is responsible for dictating what we can and cannot do within the NHS but as ever the team will do their utmost to help

Finally here is a really useful video that we found  with no hype, and  just the facts about Coronavirus
