Your Appointment Time
We always endeavour to run to schedule and realise that your time is valuable. The complex nature of dentistry can mean that on occasions we do get held up. If the dentist is running behind schedule, you will be informed of this as soon as we are aware of the situation and given the opportunity to re book your appointment if you wish. There are certain times of day when we are able to run much more accurately to time than others, our practice reception team can assist you in making the most appropriate appointments to suit your lifestyle.
Financial Arrangements
At the Craigentinny Dental Practice, we aim to provide you with as much information about your care as possible. Following your Examination we will print out a treatment estimate which will list our specific care recommendations for you and the associated fees. We will ask for your approval of this plan before commencing treatment. At all subsequent visits we respectfully remind our patients that payment for the treatment received is due on the day. The practice accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Solo. We also offer a range of monthly membership plans that cover examination and hygienist fees.
Failed Appointments or Late Cancellations
We strive to provide care in a timely manner to all of our registered patients. Missed appointments, reduce availability for other patients, delay care for those in need and impact the effective running of the practice.
We always seek to be reasonable, and consider personal circumstances/use common sense in applying our policy but do make a charge for missed visits. A appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are very difficult to fill at short notice and so often go unused and so are handled in a similar manner.
This policy is applied to ensure fairness to all patients, and enable our team to provide the best possible care for as many of our patients as possible. We are unable to offer further appointment times to patients who fail or cancel appointments repeatedly at short notice. Where a patient has not attended any scheduled appointments, the practice reserves the right to decline further bookings.
