Is it possible that a vaccine to help prevent tooth decay might be only years away? According to researchers in China, this could indeed be the case. What have preliminary studies found in regards to protecting our valuable teeth and avoiding the dentist?

– An experimental vaccine has been able to clean teeth in 64.2 per cent of cases.

– Incidences of tooth decay were reduced by 53.9 per cent.

– While promising, any type of safe vaccine is likely a number of years away from being made available to the public.
