Welcome to the Extra Edition of the Craigentinny Dental Practice Newsletter that we promised a few weeks ago. We finally  have an opening date for the new practice and this edition will tell you all that you need to know about our new location.  The paper version of this newsletter will be winging its way to your door over the next few weeks too in an effort to make sure everyone knows where we have gone!

We had problems with a few of  the links in the last newsletter so please accept our apologies for the invisible pages! This problem has been remedied and Fraser has been sent back to web design school!

Practice to open on 6th September 2004 

Our new, bigger, and better Craigentinny Dental Health Centre is located at 57 Duddingston Crescent, Edinburgh. The phone number + e-mail remain unchanged. The new practice will open on Monday the 6th   of September 2004 creating  what we believe will be the first Family Dental Health Centre in Edinburgh.  The building has been completely refurbished internally to create a modern environment,  where we can effectively provide our best dental care that focuses on your dental health.   

The new practice is located about one mile from the current premises so we do hope that you will join us in our new facility. The practice has its own car park, and  is served by 7 buses which stop right outside the door.

The new practice has been a prominent part of the local landscape for may years and was locally known as “The Turret” due to its very distinctive pointed roof.  

Finding Us 

The top floor windows of the new practice feature the distinctive Craigentinny  blue and white stripe that features in our current logo. The building has an unusual pointed roof. The practice is entered from Milton road and car parking available  on site.

Bus Services to the new premises 

Cycling

Cycle lock points are available at the practice where you can leave bicycles out of harms way. Just ask at reception. 

Facilities

We now have  a central sterilisation room  where we will site, the  array of equipment that we use to  ensure that  the instruments used in your treatment are sterile. This equipment used to be located in several locations around the practice which kept the team fit but did not help with our efficiency!  X ray processing and material stores are also  centralised for the same reason. Together these measures  should reduce the amount of "team traffic" in each surgery and help to create a more restful environment for you during your visit with fewer interruptions.

Currently the debate rages about the final colour scheme......watch this space!

Competiton 

In the June edition of our newsletter we ran a competition to guess the opening date of the new practice. The winner  guessed the date exactly and will shortly be the proud owner of a Craigentinny Goodie Bag including a new Electric toothbrush.
