What
do you want from us as a dental practice? Our existing patients have told
us that they enjoy the care and attention of the team members
when explaining their treatment to them. They appreciate the
level of service they receive, the comfort of their visits and the
thoroughness of our approach. In short,
you are our priority at all times.
The introduction of Laser Decay Detection to the Practice has improved our
ability to find problem areas in your mouth before they cause pain. This
is particularly important for our younger
patients. In
addition we are the first dentist in Edinburgh
to introduce the HealOzone. This is a new approach where ozone Gas is used to stop
the tooth decay process in your mouth. This means that it is now
possible to treat some tooth decay in your mouth without any drilling or
any injections.

We provide all the services you need to achieve and maintain
strong, beautiful and healthy teeth. We understand that past experiences
may have left you anxious or afraid and have a
specific fear management approach to help if you feel particularly worried. We aim to help you achieve the best possible
dental health through our integrated team of dentists and hygienists.
Our flexible appointment times allow us to offer family appointments
where everyone can have their examination together. |

We
believe that you are never too young (or too old) to benefit
from excellent dental care. Our aim is to give your child a
gentle introduction to dentistry and help them to develop good
habits necessary to keep their teeth healthy for a lifetime. We
hope that our child patients mature into adults who feel relaxed
and confident at the dentist as a result of their time with us.
We pro-actively care for our younger patients to achieve
this. More

Our commitment to ongoing training ensures your care will always be in
line with best current practice. Drs Booth and Hendrie have both
achieved Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners
via a process of further examinations and study. We were among the
first practices in Scotland to achieve membership of the BDA Good
Practice Scheme which means that we comply with 96 standards set to
ensure patients receive the highest levels of clinical care and
service at all times. Our materials and techniques are based on scientific evidence. This means we only introduce new
services when we are satisfied that they will be long lasting,
beneficial and safe for you, our patient. TOP |

This
is something not often discussed but is very important to us.
Every item that we place in your mouth will be either disposable (thrown away after a single use
) or will be autoclavable (sterilisable). We sterilise all
of our non disposable equipment after every patient, this is to protect
you. The practice owns 3 autoclaves to carry out this task. The
staff in the surgery all wear gloves masks and eye protection to
protect you, as well as them. This necessarily increases the
cost to the care we
provide but as we adhere strictly to British Dental Association
Guidelines, this is not an area where we will ever compromise.
