This
is one of the easiest types of bad breath to deal with and probably
affects us all at one time or another. Strong smelling foods, such as
those containing garlic, and drinks such as coffee will leave residues in
our mouths after eating and drinking. |
|
These
residues may be lodged in and around our teeth and gums or on the backs of
our tongue. The smell produced will linger for as long as the residues do
so thorough brushing, flossing and tongue cleansing should clear most of
the residues so that any lingering smell will disappear within a few hours
at most.
If
you have a particular fondness for smelly things to eat and drink then
this smell may be much more persistent. However, once you have taken a
break from your garlic etc then your breath will eventually return to
normal assuming that all else is satisfactory with your teeth, gums and
tongue.
