you
may not drink enough water (most other drinks do not re-hydrate you in the
way that water does)
you
may drink too much coffee or alcohol (the liquid you take in through
drinking coffee or alcohol is lost and then some more on top for each
drink you take as both these drinks actually make you urinate more than
you have drunk)
you
may be working in an environment that is too hot so that you lose too much
moisture through perspiration
Or
the drying effect may be localised to your mouth:
you
may be speaking a lot throughout the day and so your mouth will dry out
you
may be under stress at work: the chemicals and hormones released during
stressful events will actually dry your mouth out as a side effect
In
each circumstance the remedy should be obvious:
Try
to drink more water, cut down on coffee and alcohol, turn the radiator
down, if you have to talk a lot take regular sips of water in between and
tell your boss that you need to do less work on your dentist’s advice
(well it’s worth a try anyway.)
