No
one wants their child to grow up suffering from tooth decay, toothache or
a dental abscess. We
all want our children to be happy, healthy and free from dental problems.
Achieving this is a tall order for any parent. But if you are willing to take
an active role in your childs dental health then our team could help you
to make growing up cavity free a reality for your family.
Tooth
decay is caused by the bacteria in your mouth. These bacteria convert any
sugar that you eat into an acid which then attacks the tooth. Every
persons mouth is different and "soft teeth" are very rare
indeed, but did you know
that you can transmit the bacteria in your own mouth to your child through
everyday contact?
We
know how to keep your child free of dental decay for life and would love
to share this information with you. We believe in dealing with the causes
of tooth decay rather than waiting for holes to appear and then filling
them. If this sounds like your
kind of dental health we would love to meet you.

Do
you know what bacteria are present in your mouth? |
|
As
part of a patients first visit we take a tiny sample of
plaque from your teeth and look at it under a special
microscope. This will show both you and us if you have disease
causing bacteria present. |

Can
I stop my child from getting my bacteria? |
|
You
cannot stop the bacteria from passing from one family member to
another so the only way to have a child with no tooth decay is
to make sure that you as a parent are also totally dentally
healthy. |
